Hello beautiful people and welcome back to the blog. Hoping you are all well.

Today's post I'm going to be recapping the summer trends taking over my instagram feed as of late! Being in Australia, we are of course always a season behind. But I don't mind too much because it kind of gives us a head start and we can catch on really easily to the trends that we've been seeing on all our favourite bloggers from the northern hemisphere.

1. Seashell Jewellery

I love this trend! I think it's so beautiful. I've always had an admiration for fashion that is inspired by nature, so this is literally the perfect trend for me! The pair I've styled in this post were actually a little DIY project! Which just proves that this trend is super accessible and easy to dabble into! (take a shot every time I say 'trend' in this post). I have seen the likes of Lucy Williams and Maria Bernard absolutely killing the seashell jewellery look (evidence below). I am excited to continue growing my collection of seashell jewellery coming into the warmer months.

Where to buy:

2. All white everything

This is unfortunately not the most practical of trends is you are anything like myself and manage to get food or makeup on literally every piece of white clothing you own. BUT it sure is cute as hell. I love how crisp and minimal this look is, but how effortlessly it manages to make a statement. I even love the combination of different shades of white in the same look, try to play with different textures and silhouettes.

Where to buy:

3. Square toe sandals & Minimal sandals

Honestly, kind of a surprising one. I have NEVER been one to favour a square toe. But brands such as By Far are convincing me otherwise. The most stylish girls on instagram are rocking them, and I am actually loving the effortlessly chic, vintage vibes they give off. By Far is definitely one of the best! They do so many colours and variations. Australian footwear brand Jaggar are also killing it with this sandal style. I have linked some of my favourites down below. On the topic of sandals, another style I have been loving is the minimal wrap style sandal. I have styled a pair in this post from splice boutique. I absolutely love the look of them, as well as how practical and breathable they are for the summer months!!

Where to buy:

4. Wooden & Beaded bags

Last summer we saw woven and wicker bags absolutely dominate our instagram feeds and every shop you could think of. This year, it's more about structured styles, interesting silhouettes and a vintage feel. Of course the absolute front runners for creating this style of bag are Cult Gaia. Mango have also got an incredible clear beaded bag, and have just added a wooden one to the collection (sooo tempting.....)

Where to buy:

5. Oversized sunglasses

Step aside skinny sunglasses. I feel like sunglasses trends have moved from one extreme to another, last summer it was all about having the slimmest sunglasses possible, but this summer I think that the oversized sunglass look is going to well and truly take over. Two of my favourite sunglasses designers would have to be Poppy Lissiman, who have the coolest range of oversized sunnies this season (and a heap of skinny sunglasses if you're still living for that look!) and Karen Walker, who I feel absolutely nail the oversized sunglasses look every damn time. Of course if you are in the position to splurge, Celine would have to be at the top of the list!!

Where to buy:

That's all I have for you today ladies and gentleman, I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Much love, until next time

Sim xx
